Mezzo is designed to provide volume awareness without collecting or storing sensitive information. We believe trust depends as much on what a system doesn't do as what it does.

Audio handling

• Mezzo listens only to audio volume levels, not speech content
• Audio is processed locally in your browser
• No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted
• Mezzo does not transcribe speech or use AI to analyze content

Monitoring runs only while this page is open, and you can stop it at any time.

Anonymous usage data

Mezzo collects minimal, anonymous usage data to understand how the product is being used and to improve its effectiveness.

On your first visit, Mezzo generates a random, anonymous identifier and stores it locally in your browser. This identifier is not tied to your identity and is not shared across websites or devices.

We use this identifier only to answer high-level questions such as:

• How often Mezzo is used
• Whether people return to use it again
• Which features are used over time

We do not collect names, email addresses, account information, or any personally identifiable data.

What Mezzo does not do

• No recording or storage of audio
• No transcription or keyword detection
• No cross-site or cross-device tracking
• No sale or sharing of data with third parties

Your control

Because Mezzo runs entirely in the browser:

• Closing the tab stops monitoring
• Clearing your browser data removes the anonymous identifier
• You are always in control of when Mezzo is active
